Ok, so now looking at this I think it actually might be somewhat problematic. Yes, they are illegal because illegal means "against the law" and they are against the law. This is what I meant when I said "illegal" points you towards the term "copyright" since the reason it is illegal is because of copyrights. Perhaps you could look into what makes defines copyrights that would justify their illegality. Do you see what I mean?
